About Event

The Quiz Club, St. Stephen's College, presents, for the FIRST TIME EVER(!), a Quizzing Extravaganza which welcomes participation from schools as well as colleges all over the country. It also coincides with the 40th year of the existence of the QC and will be a prestigious event. A General Quiz having multiple rounds and spread over 2 days, we promise a high degree and level of competition, quality questions and amazing fun. The event promises to be a mad race to the title, with the winners being presented a rolling Champion’s trophy. The cherry on the cake? The quiz finals will be hosted by the founder of the QC, the immensely famous, Dr. Shashi Tharoor! First day of the event would have Prelims followed by the Quarter Finals. There will be separate prelims for School and College students. In the School Prelims, 12 School teams will be selected for the Quarters. From the College prelims, 24 teams will be selected for Quarters. There will be 6 Quarter Finals with 6 teams each which will take place simultaneously. 2 teams from each of the 6 Quarters will proceed to the Semis. Day 2 of the event will start with the Semi Finals. Next would be the Grand Finale to be hosted by Dr. Tharoor. 3 teams from each Semis compete in the Finale. Timings: 16th October - School Prelims - 1:30 pm, College Prelims - 2:30 pm, Quarterfinals - 4:00-6.30 pm 17th October - Semifinals - 1 pm, Finals - 3:30-5:30 pm Rules: 1. The competition is only open to School and College students (UG or PG). 2. Each team would comprise a maximum of 3 members. 3. Participants can only team up with members from their own institution. Hence cross-School or cross-College teams wont be allowed to participate. 4. Participants need to get a valid ID card issued by their Institution or a Bonafide letter signed by the Head of the Institution on the day of the event.
